Established in 1979, the Heart Center has more than 60 Cardiologists, seven Cardiothoracic Surgeons and three Cardiac Anesthesiologists. Physicians are employed by Huntsville Hospital Health System, the second-largest health system in Alabama. It is a not-for-profit organization with an excellent payer mix and a referral base of more than 170 primary care physicians. The main office is located in Huntsville with six locations in the surrounding communities.
