Janssen Cardiovascular and Metabolism (CVM) U.S. Medical Affairs has partnered with U.S. Mobile Health Exams to provide free Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) screening to at-risk communities using a traveling mobile health unit. This Johnson & Johnson CREDO inspired initiative gives our team the opportunity to help raise awareness and provide PAD screening and education in communities across the country. The EMPOWER-PAD mobile unit leverages Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) technology to help screen for PAD. It is a quick, noninvasive test that measures blood pressure in the ankle and compares it with blood pressure in the upper arm. Our goal is to EMPOWER community members to take a more active role in their health and ultimately live healthier lives.
