SCAD Alliance is a 501(c)3 nonprofit advocacy and support organization for Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) patients. SCAD is a nonatherosclerotic cause of acute coronary syndrome, heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest. The SCAD Alliance mission is to be the leader in advancing the science of SCAD through improved knowledge and cooperation among health care professionals, patients and their families. We educate key audiences and foster research collaborations via the independent, multi-center iSCAD Registry, coordinated by Boston-based PERFUSE Study Group. The measure of our success is to empower each SCAD survivor with an accurate diagnosis, superior outcome and answers.
