Striving for excellence in cardiovascular care has been our goal since 1943. We´re the Brazilian Society of Cardiology and we´re proud to be the largest medical society in Latin America and among the largest in the world. This motivates us to move forward, always keeping in our heart our essence and our values. We gather 14,000 members throughout Brazil with 24 state branches, and 14 specialized departments. With an 80 year history, SBC has a deep commitment to the development and dissemination of cardiovascular science, to continuing medical education, and to encourage the formation of new specialists in Cardiology. SBC is also steadfast in the defense of public policies that favor the hearts of Brazilians and that provide adequate conditions to those responsible for their care.
