Heart Failure

Societal Impact

Heart failure is one of the leading causes of hospitalization for people older than 65 resulting in decreased mobility, impaired quality of life, anxiety, and depression.

Health Economic Burden

Heart failure affects over 10 million patients in the United States and Europe, resulting in over $50 billion health care costs per year. This figure is expected to exceed $100 billion in the next decade.

Gap in Clinical Care

Two thirds of patients for whom drugs are inadequate only have complicated surgical procedures to endure for a hope of feeling better. VisCardia has developed a minimally-invasive alternative.

VisCardia aims to change today’s heart failure treatment paradigm with its novel therapy for patients with reduced ejection fraction and preserved ventricular synchrony.

We have concluded our initial clinical studies in Europe. Please look for the results at the major cardiology scientific meetings such as ESC, HFSA, ACC, and AHA.
