Duke Clinical Research Institute
Profile
As the world’s largest academic research organization, the Duke Clinical Research Institute (DCRI) is known globally for conducting groundbreaking multinational trials, managing major national patient registries, and performing landmark research. We combine the faculty expertise of one of the most prestigious university medical centers with the full-service operational capabilities of a major contract research organization to fulfill our mission: to develop and share knowledge that improves the care of patients around the world through innovative clinical research.
We expand the impact of clinical research beyond regulatory approval by designing trials that advance our fundamental understanding of health and disease and inform efforts to improve the quality of care. Our experience stretches from phase I to phase IV and beyond, encompassing post-approval analyses and health economics. The breadth of our work is matched by the depth of our knowledge, which we disseminate through high-impact publications and global meetings. DCRI faculty and staff have authored over 14,000 peer-reviewed publications and been cited in more than 600,000 scientific articles over the course of 20 years.
