ACC.12 marked the third year that the American College of Cardiology and Philips Healthcare have partnered to produce the Featured Learning Destination at the ACC Expo. Learn more about our previous collaborations.

ACC.10—The Hybrid Cath Lab/OR Suite

At ACC.10, ACC revolutionized the Expo by partnering with Philips Healthcare to create an innovative learning experience—the hybrid cath lab/OR suite. By constructing a fully outfitted hybrid suite in the Expo Hall, ACC gave attendees the opportunity to witness first-hand how an optimally designed hybrid suite is capable of performing a full range of procedures within one setting.

ACC.11—The Hospital to Home Learning Destination

At ACC.11, the ACC-Philips partnership produced the Hospital to Home Learning Destination, an interactive exhibit that allowed attendees to follow three cardiac patients as they journeyed from hospital to home—with every step of the way focused on reducing hospital readmissions. The educational multi-vendor exhibit spotlighted innovative products and technical advances aimed at readmissions management being deployed in hospitals, physician practices, the community and the home.

The adjoining Hospital to Home Theater featured clinically based presentations and best-practices discussions with physicians and healthcare providers currently implementing new technologies and processes to increase patient compliance and reduce readmissions.
