Baylor University Medical Center, part of Baylor Scott & White Health, Advanced Heart Failure & Cardiac Transplantation Fellowship Program is fully accredited by the ACGME. BUMC is a busy transplant and LVAD center and is amongst the top 10 high volume transplant centers in the country. This fellowship program accepts two fellows every year for one year of clinical training in all medical phases of cardiac transplantation and advanced circulatory support. This includes procedural training in cardiac biopsy and IVUS percutaneous hemodynamic support devices. Since inception, Baylor University Medical Center has completed more than 1150 heart transplants and has been heralded as one of the premier solid organ transplantation centers in the nation.
