Since 1928, IAEE continues to provide quality and value to its members through leadership, service, education and strong relationships. IAEE is the largest association of the exhibitions and events industry in the world, with a membership of show organizers, exhibitors and exhibition suppliers. Organizers of more than 20,000 exhibitions and buyer-seller events around the world are members of IAEE. Through the 2006 consolidation with the Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR), IAEE delivers valuable industry research reports. The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) is the source for education, professional resources and advocacy for the meeting, convention and exhibition industry. Founded in 1957, PCMA represents more than 6,000 meeting management professionals from associations, non-profit organizations, corporations, independent meeting planning companies, multi-management firms, and association executives who recognize the importance of meetings to their organization. PCMA provides members with the tools they need to succeed as meeting professionals and to promote the value of the industry to their organizations and the general public. Tracing its roots to focused health care-related activities within the PRSA as early as the 1970s, the Health Academy was formed in 1989 to promote excellence in communications and an educational dialogue across the entire health care industry for the professional enhancement of its members. Convene’s stated primary goal, like PCMA’s, is to enhance the effectiveness of meetings, conventions, and exhibitions through industry education. Convene is published 12 times a year. The magazine has articles on aspects of meeting management such as housing and room block management, convention centers, technology, legal issues, contract negotiation, crisis and emergency management, education and learning, marketing, food and beverage, career and professional development, and industry research and statistics. PCMA members automatically receive Convene as part of their membership fee. Research

Many of the associations and publications listed above conduct research as well.
