The Healthcare Communication & Marketing Association (HCMA) is a national, non-profit organization established to respond to the new challenges in healthcare. The HCMA comprises the former Medical Marketing Association (MMA); the Midwest Healthcare Marketing Association (MHMA); and the Healthcare Marketing and Communications Council (HMC). The Trade Show Exhibitors Association (TSEA) is the only not-for-profit association that promotes the continued growth of the exhibit and event marketing industry by providing education, networking, and resources to professionals who plan and implement exhibit and event marketing programs. TSEA members represent a variety of companies and sectors within the exhibit and event marketing industry. TSEA members use exhibitions and events to either raise awareness of, or grow, their company’s brand identity.

Convene is the magazine of the Professional Convention Management Association. Convene’s stated primary goal, like PCMA’s, is to enhance the effectiveness of meetings, conventions, and exhibitions through industry education. Convene is published 10 times a year, with a special edition in August. The magazine has articles on aspects of meeting management such as housing and room block management, convention centers, technology, legal issues, contract negotiation, crisis and emergency management, education and learning, marketing, food and beverage, career and professional development, and industry research and statistics. PCMA members automatically receive a subscription to Convene. Qualified meeting planners are eligible for a free subscription. All others may subscribe for $50 per year in the United States; $99 per year (in U.S. funds) outside of the United States.

Research

Many of the associations and publications listed above conduct research as well.
