The Annual Scientific Session is attended by professionals involved in delivering cardiovascular care, including physicians, scientists, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and nurses. In addition to this core audience, medical students and trainees, technicians, dietitians, administrators and other health care professionals flock to the ACC Annual Scientific Session to benefit from comprehensive educational sessions, to interact with their cardiovascular colleagues, and to explore the Expo floor looking for the latest advances and solutions in cardiovascular science and care.
Of ACC.08 registrants who completed a registrant profile, 76 percent indicated that adult cardiology is their primary medical specialty, with the balance of registrants specializing in pediatric cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, internal medicine, pharmacology, family/general practice, radiology and nuclear medicine.
